There is in the teachings of Christianity one teaching/doctrine that stands out as a necessity for being Christian. First of all believing in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, His burial, and bodily resurrection.
Of course most can believe Jesus was crucified, and died, thus He would have been buried, but this final one is a little more difficult than the others. People just don’t raise up from death, and their graves. This is a truth, however, that must be in the hearts and minds of every believer/follower of Jesus Christ; as a matter of fact; this is a truth that must be experienced by every follower of Jesus Christ.
Hear the Word of God through Paul the apostle:
“Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among your say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes,a nd we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up–if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.” 1 Corinthians 15:12-19 (NKJV).
To believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus gives us assurance that we too will be raised from death. To deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus is to deny the power of God. It is to also deny the deity of Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of Jesus proved beyond all doubt that He is who He claimed to be, in fact, the Son of God and God become flesh – Immanuel = “God with us”. Paul also writes in Romans 1 – “…Declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead”.
The resurrection is God’s proof positive that Jesus Christ died for our sins, carried them away to be never held against us again in His burial, and raised from death showing all that sins debt has been paid in full, and power of sin had been has been cancelled, and that all who believe in Him will never perish, but have eternal life.
Have a glorious day in the Lord.

Your statement is bang on! This is a major foundation to the Christian walk. God bless!
